Most of the news coming out of Afghanistan is focused on the fighting, the deaths of soldiers, terrorism or impenetrable political analysis. We seldom hear much about how the war has effected the ordinary Afghans or how they are coping and what they think. ‘Kabul Stories’ is a look via the medium of portraiture at the people of Kabul and an opportunity to personalise the people experiencing the war on Terror first hand.
It has been published several times most recently in Geo in the German edition and more recently the international edition available to buy right now in these countries: Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Finland, India, Brazil, Russia, Italy, Spain, Latvia and Lithuania. It was first published in The Guardian Weekend and soon after in Politiken and US Marie Claire.
